Angela A Court based the design of Church House, her family home near the east coast on her own memories of English seaside holidays. What is now one house was originally two farm workers cottages built in the 1850s with interiors which reflect Angela's cool, classic contemporary style, she worked for a while as an interior designer. She trained at Goldsmith College in fine art textiles but moved on to working on canvas and paper in oils and her favourite medium, pastels. Angela employed her creative skills in the house doing much of the decoration herself as well as making blinds, covering cushions and bedheads and it is clearly a favourite place.
