AC110: Neil & Chris Myers
Photography by Alun Callender /Narratives
Text & Styling by Hester Page /Narratives

Chris Myers grew up in Canada and has always loved the wooden houses with exterior verandahs
and spacious airy rooms of her childhood.
Chris and her husband Neil made the move from London to the countryside in February 2000 with their two sons Nick, then aged nine, and Stefan, five. The Chilterns in Buckinghamshire was an easy choice with good train services into London for Neil's work, and a quiet area for the boys to grow up and attend local schools.
Once the practicalities of moving house had been addressed Chris set about transforming the property. After years of experimenting with colour and styles in her former home in London, she was drawn to a simpler, less cluttered aesthetic using furniture and shades that create a sense of space.
