RS342: Escape to the Country

The promise of a healthier lifestyle, clean air and open spaces drew Frances and Andrew Morton- Jenkins away from the city to make their family home on a grade 11 listed Georgian farmhouse in Wiltshire.
They are no strangers to doing up listed buildings. "I wish we did not always fall in love with historical buildings. They always turn out to cost twice as much to renovate and take twice as long!" says Andrew.
We were attracted by its position surrounded by seven acres of fields and unspoilt views, with original flag stone floors, stunning Georgian square rooms, high ceilings and original sash windows.
