Kitchen design by Papilio Bespoke Kitchens

A 16th century family home in Somerset with stone mullion windows, ancient oak beams, original flagstone flooring, elm doors and wonderfully wonky lath and plaster walls.
Papilio have created a practical kitchen bursting with character and warmth with a contemporary edge. The family of four who love to bake in their original AGA, wanted lots of work space and clever storage.
A large free-standing island, painted in a wonderfully sunny yellow sits light in the space making the most of the original stone floor. A mix of cabinet doors with open shelving adds intrigue and an ancient elm timber worktop works perfectly with the original stone mullion inglenook that frames the Aga at the head of the island.
